I believe passionately in the potential of the human spirit and my work is dedicated to assisting individuals in reaching their own personal potential through education, shamanic healing, counselling and psychotherapy and spiritual practice.  As each individual reaches out and embraces their wholeness, they are more likely to find peace and contentment, which in turn will bring healing to our planetary family.

 

Counselling, Psychotherapy and Supervision

I qualified as a counsellor fifteen years ago, and have worked in private practice, in a GP practice, in an agency working with eating disorders and as a counsellor in a college of further education.  I have also been involved in the training of counsellors in FE, HE and in private centres, along with working for one of the principal awarding bodies for counselling in the UK.

 

Shamanic Healing

I began training as a shamanic practitioner 20 years ago after a number of synchronicities called me to this type of work.  In that time I have attended training with a number of different teachers, most recently with Simon Buxton at the Sacred Trust, who was himself trained by both Michael Harner and Sandra Ingerman along with a number of indigenous teachers.  The understanding gained from the Shamanic view on ill health, both mental and physical shows a level of understanding that we in the modern world still struggle to grasp.

 

Within all my work I treat all my clients with respect, providing a non judgemental space and utmost confidentiality.  The BACP code of ethics that provides the container for my counselling and psychotherapy work, also informs my Shamanic work.

 

I am currently based in Glastonbury where I have lived for 27 years.
